Lowell, MA - The University of Maine baseball team was defeated by UMass Lowell in the series finale on Sunday.
First Pitch: Noon (16-9 Lowell)
First Inning: Maine grabbed the lead first on the afternoon as Nick White picked up an RBI on a groundout, scoring Will Burns (1B).
Second Inning: UMass Lowell tied the game up at 1-1 on a single to left field.
Third Inning: Jeremiah Jenkins put the Black Bears back in front as he hit his 13th home run of the season to right field. The two-run shot brought home Burns (BB) on the play.
Fourth Inning: UMass Lowell plated their second run of the contest on a single to center field.
Sixth Inning: Jake Marquez increased the Black Bears lead up to 5-2 as he hit a two-run single to center field, scoring Jack Friend (1B) and Charlie Taub (BB).
The River Hawks scored two runs in the bottom of the frame to make it 5-4.
