AMESBURY, Mass. – Two University of Maine men's hockey players were recognized by Hockey East on Friday morning when the league office announced the 2023-24 all-star teams.
Bradly Nadeau was named a Hockey East Second Team All-Star while
Josh Nadeau was named a Hockey East Third Team All-Star.

Bradly Nadeau, who earlier this week was named to the Hockey East Pro-Ambitions All-Rookie Team, recorded 31 points and 12 goals in conference play, good for seventh overall in both categories. His three game-winning goals in Hockey East games tied for fourth overall. His 105 total shots on goal sit eighth in the league and his plus-15 rating in conference games is tied for sixth while his plus-20 mark in all contests is ninth overall. On the season, Bradly leads Maine in goals (17) and is tied for the team lead in points (41). He is tied 20th in the country and sixth among rookies with his 41 points. His four game-winning goals on the year is tied for third nationally among freshmen. In addition to two weekly honors from the league (one Rookie of the Week and one Player of the Week),
Bradly Nadeau was named the Hockey East Rookie of the Month for December.

Josh Nadeau finished the Hockey East slate eighth in points (30), tied sixth in assists (19) and tied eighth in goals (11). He had six power-play goals and three game-winning goals in conference games to tie for fourth overall in both categories. Overall on the year, he is tied for the team lead and is tied 20th in the country and sixth among rookies with his 41 points. He has 15 multi-point games, tied for fourth in Hockey East, and he has three multi-goal and eight multi-assist games. Earlier this season, he became the first Maine freshman to reach 15 goals in a season since 2006-07. Josh has earned one Player of the Week honor and one Player of the Month honor from Hockey East. Additionally, he was named the National Player of the Month for December.

On the season, the St-François-de-Madawaska, New Brunswick natives have assisted each other on 21 goals and have combined on 28 total goals. In December, the duo became the first and second Hockey East rookies to record hat tricks this season. On Dec. 1 against New Hampshire, Josh recorded his first career hat trick and game-winning goal, while Bradly earned the primary assist on each tally. On Dec. 3 against UConn, it was Bradly who net the hat trick with Josh recording the primary assist on each goal.

This is the first time Maine has a pair of 40+ point getters since 2011-12 (three players). At 41 points each,
Bradly Nadeau and
Josh Nadeau are also the first Maine rookies to reach 40 points in a season since Teddy Purcell in 2006-07.Â

Bradly Nadeau mark the first Maine freshmen to earn a spot on a Hockey East All-Star team since Jeff Tory in 1994-95.
