ORONO, Maine -- The University of Maine women's basketball team set a new school-record with 19 three-point field goals made in a convincing 96-39 victory over Bates College on Saturday afternoon.

The Black Bears finished the afternoon 19-of-38 (50.0%) from beyond the arc to break the old record of 16 made triples which the program had previously accomplished three-times, the last in 2019.

Maine, which shot 33-of-63 (52.4) from the field overall, held a 45-34 edge in rebounding and posted an impressive defensive effort as it held Bates to just 12-of-54 (22.2) shooting while limiting the Bobcats to just 11 total points in the first half.

Olivia Rockwood paced five Maine double-digit scorers with a game-high 20 points on 6-of-7 from beyond the arc and 7-of-8 total from the field. Caroline Dotsey posted her fourth double-figure scoring performance in her last five outings with 14 points and four assists while Asta Blauenfeldt and Jaycie Christopher each contributed 13. Sera Hodgson rounded out the double-digit performances with 11 points as Maine posted five double-digit scorers for the first time since 2022.
