Orono, ME - The America East Conference announced on Wednesday afternoon that Connor Goodman of the University of Maine baseball team was named the Spring Scholar Athlete for baseball in the conference.

Goodman, a native of Miami Beach, FL, had his best offensive year for the Black Bears serving as the designated hitter. He slashed .311/.391/.378 with two home runs and 47 RBI as he earned All-Conference First Team Honors. On top of his terrific season on the field, Goodman maintained a 3.900 GPA on the year as he completed his undergraduate degree in management, which landed him on the All-Academic Team in the America East and as the Spring Scholar Athlete for baseball in the America East.
