Orono, ME - It was announced on Tuesday morning that
Caleb Leys of the University of Maine baseball team was named to the ABCA/Rawlings NCAA DI All-Region Second.
Leys, a native of Middletown, RI, bounced back from a 2024 season in which he missed the entirety of due to Tommy John Surgery in the biggest way possible, by being named the America East Pitcher of the Year and an All-Conference First Team Member. He had the lowest ERA (1.10), fourth-lowest batting average against (.224) and fourth-most strikeouts (50) in his eight starts conference starts and his 2.44 ERA overall was the lowest in the conference by over one run a game (2.44-3.67) during the regular season. Leys finished the 2025 campaign with the lowest ERA in the conference at a 2.69, the second-most strikeouts with 74 and he threw 67 innings.
