Box Score Vestel, NY – The University of Maine baseball team suffered their first loss of the America East Conference season as they were defeated by the Binghamton Bearcats, 18-17.

Jeremiah Jenkins got the Black Bears going early as he doubled home

Connor Goodman added onto the lead as he singled to right center, scoring Jenkins (2B) on the play.

Jake Marquez made it a three-run opening inning for the Black Bears he singled to right field, scoring Goodman (1B).

Binghamton scored their opening two runs of the contest on a pair of bases loaded walks. Evin Sullivan grabbed the lead for his squad as he doubled home a pair of runs to make it 4-3 Bearcats.

Blaine Cockburn's day came to an end in the first inning as he couldn't get out of the opening inning of the contest. Cockburn allowed 5 runs on 3 hits and 3 walks across just 1/3 of an inning.
