Box Score Vestel, NY – The University of Maine baseball team slugged three home runs as they extended their winning streak to 10-straight with the victory over Binghamton Saturday night, 5-4.
 
First Inning: Jeremiah Jenkins continued his stretch of being one of the most dominate hitters in the country as he hit his 13^th home run of the season and second of the weekend series to get the Black Bears out to an early 3-0 lead in the first inning. Jake Rainess (BB/SB) and Quinn McDaniel (BB) scored on the three-run home run to right field.
 
Mike Gunning got one run back for his squad as he hit a solo home run in the bottom of the frame.
 
Third Inning: Kevin Gsell made it a one-run game as he singled home the Bearcats second run of the game.
 
Fourth Inning: Mike Gunning tied the contest up as he hit a sac-fly to left field.
 
Fifth Inning: Kevin Gsell grabbed the lead for the Bearcats as he hit a solo home run to right field.
 
Sixth Inning: Gianni Gambardella was called on to begin the sixth inning for the Black Bears. Caleb Leys went 5 innings as he allowed 4 runs on 8 hits, 2 walks and striking out 2 batters.
 
Seventh Inning: Justin Rosner began the frame on the mound for the Bearcats. Ryan Bryggman went 6 innings, allowing 3 runs on 2 hits, 6 walks and striking out 5.
 
Dylan McNary welcomed the new arm to the game as he got the Black Bears back to even as he hit his seventh home run of the season, this being a solo home run to right field.
 
Eighth Inning: Myles Sargent gave the Black Bears the lead as he hit a solo home run to left field for his fourth home run of the season.
 
Ninth Inning: Jack Collins began the ninth inning on the mound for the Bearcats. Rosner allowed 2 runs across 2 innings of work. He allowed 3 hits, 3 walks and striking out 1.
 
Gianni Gambardella (4-1) picked up the win for the Black Bears in relief as he allowed no runs across 4 innings of relief. He allowed two hits, no walks and struck out 4 batters.
 
Justin Rosner (1-2) took the loss in relief for the Bearcats in relief.
 
Maine (17-11, 11-0) will look to pick up the weekend sweep on Sunday morning as they wrap up the weekend series against Binghamton. First pitch is scheduled for 11:00 A.M.
