First Inning: Colin Summerhill drove in the opening run of the contest for NIU on a single to right field. The run was unearned.

Third Inning: Matt Salomonson was called on in relief in the third inning for NIU. Brandon McPherson fired two shutout innings in the start, allowing no hits, 3 walks, 1 hit batter and striking out 3.

Connor Goodman tied up the contest in the bottom of the third frame at 1-1 as he hit a sac fly to center field, scoring

Fifth Inning: Parker Shupe doubled to center field and tied the contest up at 2-2 in the top of the frame. Shupe later scored on a wild pitch.

Noah Lewis. Lewis turned in a solid start on the mound as he earned a quality start, going 6 full frames, allowing 3 runs (2 earned) on 5 hits, 2 walks and striking out 9.

Colin Summerhill gave the lead back to NIU as he hit an RBI double to center field.

Eight Inning: Mason Kelley added on to the NIU lead as he hit a solo home run to left field.
