Worcester, Mass. -- The University of Maine women's swim & dive team dropped a 172-128 decision at Holy Cross on Saturday afternoon.
Kennady Kilger led the Black Bears after scoring a win in the 50-yard freestyle (24.97) before taking second in the 100 freestyle with a time of 54.38.
Eva Welsh won the 200 IM at 2:10.57 and was the runner-up in the 200 breaststroke with a final time of 2:26.31.
Isabelle Irani had a strong showing, placing second in the 100 butterfly at 1:00.47 and third in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:16.29.
Maine added 11 other podium finishes with six runner-up showings.
On the boards,
Ashley LeClaire won the 3m with a score of 268.05 and was the runner-up in the 1m at 245.93.
Haylie Calver placed second in the 3m at 257.25.
The team of
Madison Edwards,
Kayla Loughman, Irani, and Kilger teamed up to place second in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:49.83.
Loughman,
Mia Poirier,
Hannah Deighan, and Kilger touched the wall second in the 400 freestyle relay at 3:36.06.
