The Maine Black Bears (3-4-0, 1-2-0 HE) return home after a weekend on the road at Providence College where they split with the Friars.
About the Series:
- The Maine Black Bears are sitting at 1-2-0 in Hockey East conference-play, whereas Boston University is still looking to pick up their first conference win.
- The two teams faced off three times last season, with Maine picking up two wins by scores of 3-2 and 3-0. The third game ended in a tie where the Terriers won the extra point in the shootout.
Scouting the Terriers:
- The Terriers picked up their first win of the season and a tie this past weekend in the non-conference series with Syracuse. Prior to that, the Terriers were swept by #5 Northeastern in conference play.

Notes on the Black Bears:
- The Black Bears come off last weekend splitting with Providence College.
- The Black Bears went down by three goals in both games, but were only able to complete the comeback in game one for a 4-3 win. Game two ended 2-3 in favor of the Friars.
- Nine different Black Bears tallied at least one point last weekend:
- Fifth-year forward Ida Kuoppala was named Hockey East's Player of the Week Award for the second time this season, after scoring the game-tying and game-winning goal in Friday's matchup. Kuoppala leads not only her own team, but the entire Hockey East conference in points and in goals scored (7g, 4a). She is tied for fourth nationally in goals scored.
- Julia Bachetti and Anna LaRose each saw a game against the Friars. Bachetti made 30 saves on 33 shots, while LaRose made 20 saves on 23 shots.
