Grace Heiting, a fifth year transfer student previously from Union College, has been named one of three award recipients for the class of 2022 Capital District Sports Women of the Year. 

The Capital District Sports Women of the Year organization (CDSWOY) honors the best and brightest female student athletes in the Capital District of New York State. The student-athletes are chosen for this award based on achievements in athletics as well as academics and community service. 

For her senior season at Union College, she appeared in 30 games. She led her team in goals, finishing with eight goals and five assists totaling 13 points on the 2021-22 season. She was also awarded the Robert M. Ridings Memorial Award for her attitude, ability, participation, and achievements during the season. She is also a four-time ECAC Hockey All-Academic Team selection.
