Matthew Pushard signed with the Miami Marlins organization on Wednesday, July 20.
Pushard, a native of Brewer, Maine, wrapped up his collegiate career in 2022 as he worked for an America East best 9 saves on the season. He did so over the course of 30 innings of work, a 3-1 record with a 6.00 ERA and a 44/18 K/BB ratio.
"Matt has come a long way from his first steps on campus," head baseball coach,
Nick Derba states. "He put his time in and is getting the chance to further his playing career. It is well deserved."
Pushard joins the Marlins organization after signing as an undrafted free agent following the 2022 MLB draft.
