Box Score ARLINGTON, VA – The University of Maine baseball team took game two in dominating fashion as they beat George Washington,11-3 on Saturday afternoon.

First Inning: George Washington got on the board first with an RBI from Joe Biancone, driving in Tim Nicholson.

Second Inning: Maine got the scoring going as Scoutt Knotts started off the inning with a single to right field. That was followed with more singles from
Jeremiah Jenkins and
Jake Rainess to get the bases loaded.
Colby Emmertz would then hit a sacrifice fly to drive in Knotts to give Maine it's solo run for the inning.

Third Inning:
Quinn McDaniel would get the bats started this inning hitting a one run home run into left field giving Maine the lead. Back-to-back singles from
Scout Knotts and
Jeremiah Jenkins would put runners on first and second for
Jake Rainess who would single to left field and bring in Knotts to score.

Fifth Inning: Maine would go on to extend their lead with a pair of runs from
Jake Rainess, who drove in
Quinn McDaniel, and
Colby Emmertz, who drove in
Scout Knotts. Maine would go into the back half of the game leading 5-1.

Sixth Inning: George Washington would cut into Maine's lead with a single from Joe Biancone that would drive Derek Ripp and Steve Ditomaso for a pair of runs.

Eighth Inning: Maine would break the game wide open as
Quinn McDaniel hit a deep line drive to left for an RBI double, driving in
Jeff Mejia.
Joe Bramanti would follow up the McDaniel at bat with an RBI double of his own, this one to right center to drive in McDaniel.
Jeremiah Jenkins would cap off the 4-run inning for the Black Bears as he blasted his first career home run to deep right center, bringing home Bramanti in the process.

Maine would head into the ninth holding a 10-3 lead.

Ninth Inning: The Black Bears would add onto their lead in the top of ninth as
Joe Bramanti drew the bases loaded walk, resulting in
Colby Emmertz scoring.

Connor Harris takes the loss for George Washington as he allows 5 runs, all earned, across 4 and 1/13 innings pitched. He struck out 5 batters.

Caleb Leys picks up his first collegiate win, going 5 and 2/3 innings, allowing 3 earned runs and striking out 3.
