Box Score Providence, RI – The University of Maine field hockey team increased their win-streak to nine-games as they defeated the Friars of Providence College on Sunday afternoon, 3-0.

Maine would get the scoring going first on the afternoon as
Poppy Lambert scored on a penalty corner opportunity for her 14
th goal of the season.
Madisyn Hartley (12) and
Tereza Holubcova (10) picked up the assists on the score.

Sydney Meader kept the Black Bears scoring going as she tipped in a pass from
Poppy Lambert (4) to score her seventh goal of the season on the penalty corner.

Chloe Walton would score the third and final goal of the game as she scored her seventh goal of the season as she gathered in a loose ball in Providence's circle before scoring.

Mia Borley was perfect for the Black Bears as she turned away all five shots she faced in the contest. The shutout was her third of the season.

Maine (10-3, 4-0) stays on the road for their next contest as they will face off against Bryant University in a conference matchup on Friday, Oct. 14. That game is scheduled to being at 1:00 P.M.
