ORONO, ME - The University of Maine women's swim and dive team opened up their 2021-22 conference schedule with a home meet against the Vermont Catamounts, where they fell short in the 162-135 Meet.
For the Black Bears, they finished the Meet with 7 first place finishes. Among their top performers included:
Kayla Loughman: First in the team 200 Medley Relay (1:49.62), First in the individual 50 Free (24:84), First in the team 200 Free Relay (1:39.72) and Second in the 100 Free (53.99)
Morgan Bui: First in the team 200 Medley Relay (1:49.62), First in the individual 100 Breaststroke (1:07.39), First in the individual 200 Breaststroke (2:28.42) and Fourth in the 200 IM (2:21.26).
PhilAnn Dixon: First in the 1 Meter dive (235.35) and First in the 3 Meter dive (248.63).
For Vermont, Jackie House, Kira Parker and Madison Supple took home two first place finishes at the Meet, while Charlie Ramey, Molly Williams, Hally Laney and Mina Poppas took a single first place finish.
For the Black Bears, their next Meet is set to take place in a road meet against the Holy Cross Crusaders on Saturday, Nov. 13. It is scheduled to begin at 1:00 P.M.
