Maeve Carroll led Maine with 13 points and five rebounds in an 82-43 loss at Princeton on Sunday afternoon.
Sera Hodgson matched a career-high with six points, on 2-for-2 shooting from beyond the arc, while
Adrianna Smith also added a career-best six points. For Carroll, it matched her fifth time in double digits this season.
Abby Meyers led the Tigers with 23 points for a Princeton team which turned it over just six times in the game, including just one giveaway in the first half.
Maine finished the contest 17-of-44 from the field (38.6) while Princeton shot 32-for-61 (52.5) as a team.
After Maine took a 4-2 lead on a jumper from Simon, Princeton answered with a 21-0 run. The Tigers ended the first quarter on a 15-0 sprint before adding four more unanswered points to start the second. The 21-0 stretch gave the hosts a 23-4 lead early in the second quarter.
Maine gathered itself and was able to put an end to the scoreless drought with a 5-0 run of its own. Carroll started the stretch with a driving layup before Orois found
Sera Hodgson for a triple, cutting the lead to 25-12.
The Tigers would entered the break with a 39-17 edge before outscoring Maine 28-11 in the third period, extending the lead to 67-28 after three.
Maine played even with Princeton in the fourth, with six of Maine's 15 fourth quarter points coming from freshman
Adrianna Smith. However, Maine would not close the gap, falling 82-43 to the Tigers.
Maine is back in action next Saturday when it hosts Drexel at the Cross Insurance Center at noon.
