Orono, Maine -- Maine, currently 2-0 on its current four-game road streak, continues play on Friday when it travels to meet Army on Friday, Nov. 26 at 3 p.m. in Maine's second consecutive contest against a Patriot League member program. The Black Bears are 0-2 all-time against Army and have not played the Black Knights sine 1983.

Anne Simon posted a season-high 26 points while
Maeve Carroll added the 13th double-double of her career as the University of Maine women's basketball team earned a 59-57 victory at Boston University on Sunday afternoon.
In a game which featured nine lead changes and five ties, Maine was able to erase an eight point deficit to earn their second consecutive road victory. The Black Bears outscored Boston University 19-10 in a strong third quarter to help propel them to victory.
Simon led all scorers while going 11-for-21 from the field with four steals, three rebounds, and three assists. Carroll tallied a double-double on 13 points and 15 rebounds, just one shy of her career high, while
Bailey Wilborn came off the bench to hit four triples for 12 points for the second-straight game.
Maine's defense forced a season-best 22 turnovers, 12 of which coming in the second half.
A LOOK AT THE BLACK BEARS:
Maine is currently on a two-game road win streak, with wins at Yale and at Boston University. Each win has come by a total of five points, with the Black Bears beating Yale by three and BU by a pair. Maine's defense has played well in the wins, holding the opponents to 50.5 points per game while forcing 37 total turnovers in the two game span.
The Black Bears feature the America East individual leaders in points per game (
Anne Simon - 18.6), rebounding (
Maeve Carroll - 9.6), and assists (
Alba Orois - 4.8). Simon, the reigning America East Player of the Week, has tallied double-figure scoring efforts in each of Maine's first five games and is coming off a season-high 26 point showing in a win at Boston University. Defensively, Simon ranks third in the league at 2.3 steals per game.
Maeve Carroll tallied her 13th career double-double with 13 points and 15 boards at Boston University and currently ranks among the top-10 in the America East in scoring (10th - 11.4), rebounding (1st - 9.6), assists (3rd - 4.4), and blocks (3rd - 1.0).
Alba Orois, who leads the league in assists per game, has tallied four or more assists in three of Maine's first five games, including a career-high nine dimes against Delaware.
Bailey Wilborn, the reigning America East Rookie of the Week, has provided Maine with a significant 3-point threat off the bench. Wilborn, who has 12 points in each of Maine's last two games with four triples in each, ranks fifth in the league in 3-point field goals made per game (2.2) and seventh in 3-point field goal percentage (37.9).
A LOOK AT ARMY:
The Black Knights, coached by former Maine point guard Missy Traversi, enter play on a two-game win streak after taking down Air Force, 73-62, on Wednesday evening. Army featured four players in double-figures in the latest win, led by Trinity Hardy's 18 points. Army forced 24 turnovers in the win while overcoming 28 giveaways of its own to earn the victory. The Black Knights, who average 65.0 points per game, are led by Hardy who enters averaging 16.8 points. Alisa Fallon is adding 11.3 points while Sabria Hunter is chipping in 10.5 points and a team-high 7.5 boards. Army gets after it on the defensive end, forcing 20.5 turnovers per game.
SERIES WITH ARMY:
Maine will be playing its second-straight Patriot League opponent when it takes on Army. The Black Bears are 0-2 all-time against Army and will be playing the Black Knights for the first time since 1983. Maine lost the first-ever meeting between the two teams, 83-54, in the 1982-83 season at the Lady Friar Classic in Providence, R.I., and lost the most recent meeting in the 1983-84 season, 77-63.
