Box Score NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The University of Maine women's ice hockey team was eliminated in the hockey east conference semifinal by the Huskies of Northeastern, 3-1.
Maine would jump out to the early 1-0 lead on the power play at 4:27 into action.

Ida Press. Press then fired home a rocket into the top right corner of the goal frame and grabbing the lead for her team. For Press, it was her seventh goal of the season.
Goaltender Aerin Frankel would finish the period with 8 saves on 9 shots for her Huskies, while Goaltender
Carly Jackson stopped all 12 shots she faced in net for the Black Bears.
The second period had both goalies staying sharp.
Carly Jackson made a save of the year candidate with 6:28 off of the clock, when she slid over and robbed Northeastern Star Forward Alina Mueller of a scoring chance.
Jackson would rob Mueller of another highly quality chance with just 1:16 remaining in the second period as she slid over and kicked away another shot.
Jackson would head into the second intermission with 20 saves in the books, while Frankel for Northeastern grabbed 15 saves through two periods.
The Huskies would find the back of the net early into the third period as Skylar Fontaine scored a power play goal to tie the game back up at 1-1. Alina Mueller and Chloe Aurard picked up the assists.
Mueller would grab the lead for her team as she would score her team's second goal of the contest 2:40 after the first goal. Fontaine picked up the assist.
Northeastern would cap off the game with an empty netter with 14 seconds left in the contest as they advanced to the Hockey East Championship.
Frankel ended the contest with 20 saves in the win for her team.
Carly Jackson concluded her collegiate career with 35 saves in the contest.
