ORONO, Maine – The University of Maine men's and women's swim and dive teams will be competing in their final regular season meet at Providence on Saturday, January 25.

           The women will also be competing at New Hampshire on Friday, January 24.

           The Maine men are coming off of a strong showing at their meet at Bowden.
Â
           Among their 12 victories,
Liam Blair took home 3 solo first places, along with a team first place to earn himself the America East Male Swimmer of the Week. Blair won the 50-yard backstroke (24.61), the 100-yard backstroke (53.85) and the 200-yard backstroke (2:00.36). He was also a part of the wining 200-yard freestyle relay, which including
Andy Sprague,
Jacob Ketch and
Kevin Arpin.
Cameron Kubik added in two solo wins of his own, a 50-yard breaststroke (29.59) and a 100-yard IM (56.24).

Andy Sprague won the 100-yard freestyle (47.99).
Rooster Cardin took first place in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:19.09).
Quintin Cheadle took first place in the 500-yard freestyle (4:59.60).

           The women had an equally impressive showing at the Bowden meet.

           Among their nine victories,
Sabrina Nuttall won both the 50-yard breaststroke (30.30) and the 50-yard freestyle (25.08).
Morgan Bui took home first place in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:08.21).
Kayla Loughman took a first place in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:27.68).
Emma Blair took first place in the 100-yard freestyle with a 54.78 time.

Valentina Rengifo scored a first place in the 200-yard IM (2:11.72). Anna McCurdy won the 200-yard fly (2:22.60). Alex Bromley won the 500-yard freestyle (5:38.11). The team of Blair, Loughman,
Ines Khiyara and
Sarah Mansfield won the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:40.28).

           The women will begin action on Friday at 5:00 P.M. Both teams will be in action on Saturday at 11:00 A.M.
