ORONO, Maine—The women's ice hockey team starts its regular season contest with a challenge, heading down to Hamden, Connecticut to face off against the Quinnipiac Bobcats on Friday at 6 p.m. and Saturday at 3 p.m.

The Black Bears enter the regular season after a strong exhibition contest against the University of New Brunswick, with a 7-0 victory last Friday. All five first year players who dressed earned at least one point in the contest.

Quinnipiac played its first two regular season games last week against the No. 7 Ohio State Buckeyes. The Bobcats fell in both contests, 3-2. One Bobcats newcomer, Lexie Adjiza, earned ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Week for her two point efforts.
