Box Score SACO, Maine - The University of Maine Women's Soccer team was dealt their first loss of the season by Providence College, 1-0 at Thorton Academy in Saco, Maine.
Providence took control early in the game, outshooting the Black Bears 9-3 in the first half. Their lone goal came 37:21 into the game from Kathryn Hiller, scoring her third goal of the season; she leads Providence in goals scored.
In the second half Maine came out determined to even the shot count, outshooting Providence 12-2 in an attempt to tie the game, but couldn't get one past Providence Goalkeeper Kristyn Shea, who saved all 8 shots on goal.
