ORONO, Maine – On the heels of the program's third straight NCAA Tournament berth, the University of Maine women's soccer program announced the schedule for the upcoming 2026 season on Friday.
The Black Bears will play a total of 16 regular season games, including eight home matches at the New Balance Soccer Complex and eight America East fixtures.
Maine will open up the 2026 season on Wednesday, Aug. 12 at Rhode Island and then return home for three consecutive home games. The Black Bears will host Mercer University in the home opener on Thursday, Aug. 20 followed by games against Sacred Heart on Sunday, Aug. 23 and Merrimack on Thursday, Aug. 27. The team will close out August with a single game at Colgate on Sunday, Aug. 30.
Non-conference play continues in September with a home match against Army on Thursday, Sept. 3, followed trips to Providence College (Sept. 10) and Holy Cross (Sept. 13).
America East play begins at home on Sunday, Sept. 20 against UAlbany. After hosting UMass Lowell (Sept. 27), the Black Bears head to Vermont (Oct. 4) to face the Catamounts in a rematch of last year's title game. Maine will return home to host NJIT and celebrate Senior Day on Sunday, Oct. 11.
After the Buffalo Wild Wings Border Battle at New Hampshire (Oct. 18), Maine will head to Bryant (Oct. 22), host Binghamton (Oct. 25) and then close out the regular season at UMBC (Nov. 1).
The America East Tournament quarterfinal round will take place on Thursday, Nov. 5 with the semifinal set for Sunday, Nov. 8 and the championship for Nov. 15.
