ORONO, Maine – The University of Maine women's soccer team has added two mid-year transfers to its roster, head coach Scott Atherley announced on Tuesday.

From the transfer portal, the Black Bears have added a pair of forwards in Sandrine Brault (Oklahoma State) and Isabella Meadows (UConn). Both join the program immediately for the 2026 spring season.

"We are excited about adding Sandrine and Bella to our team," said Atherley. "They are both exceptional people, students and players. I anticipate that their impact will be realized immediately."

Brault spent her freshman season at Oklahoma State, appearing in 15 games with two starts for the Big 12 program. A three-star recruit by TopDrawerSoccer.com, she joined the Cowgirls in the spring of 2025. The Notre Dame des Prairies, Quebec native has also represented Canada at the youth national team level, debuting with the program in 2022 and helping the U15 squad earn a silver medal at the CONCACAF Championship.

"Sandrine is a dynamic attacking player and someone who brings in valuable international and collegiate experience. She is fast and tricky with the ball at her feet and calm under pressure and in tight spaces. Sandrine is an intelligent decision maker in the final third. The combination of her talent and relentless mentality will bolster our attack considerably."

Meadows, a native of Springfield, Mass., comes to Orono after spending the last two seasons at UConn in the Big East. Prior to joining the Huskies, she played her club soccer for NEFC, winning a national title in 2021. Meadows also lettered all four years at Pope Francis Preparatory School, where she scored 174 goals and added 48 assists while earning All-Region, All-State, All-Western Massachusetts, All-League and PVSOA MVP honors. She helped lead Pope Francis to Western Massachusetts championships in 2022 and 2023.

"Bella is an athletic center forward. She can hold up play and stretch defenses with her speed and deliberate runs. Bella can also score goals and she is a threat to strike from anywhere around the goal. Without the ball, Bella is a relentless chaser and she will fit into our pressing set up perfectly."
