ORONO, Maine - After a road trip to Rhode Island to face URI and Bryant, Maine returned home to face Vermont in a Saturday afternoon meet. The Black Bears kept it a close one, taking first place in many events, but in the end falling to Vermont 168-123.
Shayla-Rose Kleisinger took first in the 1000 Yard Free, with a time of 10:46.56. She also took first in the 200 Yard IM, with a time of 2:13.83
Julianna McDonald won the 50 Yard Free event, with a time of 24.43.Â
Hayli Weitz won both of the diving events, the 1 Mtr Diving in which she scored a 201.22 for first, and the 3 Mtr Diving, in which she scored a 180.90
In the 100 Yard Fly, Victoria Kingston took first with a time of 58.81.
The final event, the 200 Free Relay, Maine took first with 1:38.68; the team consisted of Emily Borger, Rita Chen, Emma Blair, and Julianna McDonald.
Maine is back in action again November 19th when they travel to the URI Invitational.Â
