STOCKTON, California – Maine field hockey received numerous awards at the annual America East field hockey awards banquet at the University of the Pacific Wednesday night.
Danielle Aviani,
Casey Crowley,
Sydney Veljacic and
Samantha Wagg were selected to the East Division All-Conference Team.
Danielle Aviani has scored 20 points this season including (six goals and eight assists) and is closing in on 100 career points with a total of 92 points.
Casey Crowley leads the team in points scored this season with 30 (10 goals and 10 assists).
Sydney Veljacic is the captain of the Black Bears and has scored 14 points (three goals and eight assists).
Samantha Wagg has scored a total of 23 points this season (nine goals and five assists).
Riley Field and
Brianna Ricker were selected to the All-Rookie team. Field has scored a total of 10 points this season (three goals and four assists). Ricker has been selected America East Rookie of the week twice this season and has scored 16 points (seven goals and two assists).
The Black Bears also had two selections on the all-academic team featuring
Casey Crowley a business administration major and
Sydney Veljacic an accounting major.
