JUNIOR (2015): Played and started in all 23 games for the Black Bears...Scored 26 points, 12 goals and two assists...Had nine multi-point games, three of which were multi-goal games...Scored two goals vs. LaSalle (8/28)...Scored two goals vs. Holy Cross (8/29)...Scored two goals at Bryant (9/26)...Second on the team in points scored (26), Led team in shots (69), goals (12) and shots on goal (37)...America East Second-Team selection, also selected to the America East All-Academic team and held the highest GPA out of the other selections...Selected to Longstreth/NFHCA D-I Northeast All-Region First Team...Maine Scholar Athlete *Silver Medal* recipient for third consecutive year...America East Honor Roll...ZAG/NFHCA Field Hockey National Academic Sqaud Selection.

SOPHOMORE (2014): Played and started all 20 games...Scored two goals and added one assist for a total of five points on the season...Her first goal of the season came on Sept. 20 against Bryant in a 3-1 win...Second goal was against Quinnipiac on Sept. 28 in a 4-1 win...Also added an assist in a 5-1 win on Oct. 3 against Vermont...Honored with the 2014 Gladiator by SGI/NFHCA D-1 Scholars of Distinction award...Member of the 2014 Gladiator by SGI/NFHCA D-1 National Academic Team Award...Named to 2014 America East Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll...Honored as Maine Scholar-Athlete...Named to Team Maine...Named 2014 Gladiator by SGI / NFHCA Division I Scholars of Distinction.

FRESHMAN (2013): Played and started all 20 games as a freshman for the Black Bears … Finished the season with 16 points (five goals and six assists) … Scored her first career goal on Sept. 7 in a 5-2 victory over Hofstra … Recorded two assists in a 5-2 win over Quinnipiac on Sept. 8 … Averaged two shots per game and .80 points per contest … Tallied five-straight games where she recorded two-or-more points … Named to the America East All-Conference second team and all-rookie team … Member of the 2013 Gladiator by SGI/NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad … Was a 2013 Gladiator by SGI/NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad scholar of distinction. 

BEFORE MAINE: Joined the Black Bears after playing on the U17 Canadian Junior National Team (2011-2013) and the U21 Canadian Junior National Team (2012-2013) ... Named U16 Field Hockey British Columbia Junior Female Player of the Year in 2011, played in a series with the U17 Junior National team against Team USA (2012) and played a series vs. Mexico with the U21 squad in the summer of 2012 ... A member of the British Columbia Provincial teams (2008-12) and a member of the British Columbia Regional team (2007-12) ... Helped guide 2012 Team British Columbia to a first place U18 Canadian Junior National Championship while also leading her 2012 AAA BC high school squad to a third place finish at the Provincial Championships and her high school to a District Championship in 2012 ... In 2010 and 2011, Veljacic led the U16 team to back-to-back Canadian National Championships ... Named tournament XI at the U18 National Championships, her high school leading scorer in 2012 ... Played club for the Tri City Eagles.

PERSONAL: Born June 10, 1995 ... Daughter of Lynn and Tom Veljacic ... a four-year honor roll member in high school ... has one sister, Alexis, who is in her junior year of field hockey at the University of Victoria ... an accounting major.
