ORONO, Maine - It was announced on Wednesday morning by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) that 17 Black Bears were named to the NFHCA 2025 Division I National Academic Squad.

The NFCHA Academic Squad honors collegiate student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.3 or higher through the first semester of the current academic year, and were nominated by their NFHCA member coach.

Named to the squad were: Martha Barratt, Leyden Churchill, Floor Dijkhuizen, Brynn Dzengelewski, Maeve Fogarty, Zoe Furber, Olivia Geniti, Taylor Katsube, Nicole Kowalewski, Saylor Kuefler, Sofia Miller, Julia Pieters, Louisa Plaehn, Gabrielle Sosusa, Taylor Stanford, Allison Sweetser, and Jayde Temby.
