Scott Pellerin, the 1992 Hobey Baker Memorial Award winner, was also a co-captain of the Black Bear squad. At the time of induction, he was the University of Maine career leader in points scored and games played. During his senior season Pellerin earned 10 post season honors, including Hockey East Player of the Year and First Team All-American. He was drafted by the New Jersey Devils in 1989, but chose to return to Maine. He made his NHL debut during the 1992-93 season with the Devils. He is a veteran of 840 NHL and AHL games during his 13-year playing career from 1992-2004. He collected 72 goals, 126 assists and 198 points in 536 NHL games with the New Jersey Devils, St. Louis Blues, Minnesota Wild, Carolina Hurricanes, Boston Bruins, Dallas Stars and the Phoenix Coyotes. Following his playing career, Pellerin entered the coaching ranks as an assistant with the Manchester Monarchs.
