Orono, Maine -- Anthony Iliano was named a preseason Third-Team All-American on Monday morning by Stats Perform FCS.

Iliano, a redshirt junior out of Cleveland, Ohio, enters his fourth season at Maine in 2026, having started in every game over the past two seasons. In 2025, he earned a spot on the CAA All-Conference Second Team as he led an offensive line that allowed only 18 sacks on the season (1.5 per game). The team went on a season-best three-game streak where they didn't allow a sack from Oct. 11 through Nov. 1. He also earned a spot on the CAA Academic Honor Roll.

Iliano is the first preseason All-American selection for the Black Bears since Liam Dobson and Deshawn Stevens in 2020 and the first Stats Perform FCS selections since 2019 when both Manny Patterson and Kayon Whitaker were named preseason All-Americans.
