ORONO, Maine -- For the fourth time this season, and 11th time of her career,
Adrianna Smith has been named the America East Player of the Week.
Smith guided Maine to a 1-1 week while averaging 27.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 3.0 steals.Â
In Maine's win at UAlbany, Smith led all scorers with a game-high 25 points on 10-of-21 shooting to go along with nine rebounds, seven assists, and three steals. At Binghamton, Smith again was the leading scorer after pouring in 29 points, 11-of-16 from the floor and 5-of-5 from the free throw stripe, and adding seven rebounds and three steals.
Smith, who leads the America East in scoring, rebounding, and assists, has now posted double-digit scoring figures in each of her last 16 outings including posting 25 or more in three of her last four. Smith has tallied 25 or more points nine times this year and recently moved into sixth on Maine's all-time rebounding list with 908 career boards.
