ORONO, Maine – The University of Maine women's soccer team fell to Holy Cross, 1-0, in non-conference action on Sunday afternoon at Mahaney Diamond.

The Crusaders scored late in the first half with Sam Halligan putting home her own rebound for a 1-0 lead in the 40th minute. Maine kept pushing for a goal and outshot Holy Cross, 7-4, in the second half but couldn't come up with the equalizer.

- Maine had the 16-13 lead in shots and a 9-5 lead in shots on goal.
- Grace Wilson finished with four saves for Maine.
- Jordane Pinette and Victoria Dungey led Maine with a game-high five shots each … both Black Bears landed three shots on goal, also a game-high.
