ORONO, Maine -- The University of Maine field hockey team remains home for another two-game weekend set when it hosts Quinnipiac on Friday at 3 p.m. before taking on Stonehill on Sunday at 1 p.m. Both games will take place at the Maine Field Hockey Complex and will be streamed live on ESPN+.

Fans are invited to bring their dogs to the complex with treats and bandanas offered to each pup in attendance. The Black Bears will also hold an autograph session following the conclusion of the game.
ABOUT MAINE:
- The Black Bears opened the 2025 season with a pair of losses against Power-5 opponents as they dropped the season opener 2-0 to then No. 8 Boston College before jumping out to a two goal lead on Indiana before falling to the Hoosiers, 4-3.
- Olivia Geniti registered two goals in Maine's contest with Indiana and enters the weekend as Maine's early leader with four points. Saylor Kuefler added Maine's third goal over the opening weekend to go along with an assist for three points.
- Rozárie Mrázová played both complete games in the cage for Maine, making eight saves during each outing. The eight save performances matched her second-highest single game saves total of the season. One of Mrázová's saves, a diving attempt followed up by a kick save from her back, earned her the No. 4 play on SportsCenter's Top-10.
- Maine tallied more total penalty corners (17) than both of its opponents, total, over the opening weekend.
ABOUT QUINNIPIAC:
- The Bobcats opened their first weekend of action with a pair of wins, taking down Holy Cross by a final of 2-1 before earning a 2-0 shutout victory over Bucknell.
- Francisca Eschoyez led Quinnipiac with a pair of goals on opening weekend while Rozemarijn Van Keulen and Laren Keyte each tallied a goal. Katie Shanahan added two assists.
- Cristina Torres earned both victories in the cage after allowing just one goal on 12 shots and picking up her first shutout of the season.
- The two wins out of the gate match Quinnipiac's win total from a year ago after the Bobcats finished the 2024 campaign 2-16, 0-7 in league play.
- The Bobcats return 16 student-athletes from a year ago including All-BIG EAST second team selection Eschoyez.
ABOUT STONEHILL:
- The Skyhawks enter the weekend in search of their first win of the year after falling to Northeastern (2-0) and Bryant (4-0) to open the season.
- Isabelle Morton suffered both losses in the cage after she gave up six goals on 16 shots. Morton made 10 stops.
- Stonehill is coached by Maine alumni Danielle Aviani ('17) and Mia Borley (Maine '22).
- Stonehill enters its fourth-year in Division-I after beginning the transition to start the 2022 season.
