ORONO, Maine - Ethan Keller of the University of Maine men's cross country program was named the America East Male Freshman of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Keller competed in his first collegiate race in Maine's season opening contest against Army on Aug. 29. Keller helped the Black Bears capture the perfect score victory over Army. Keller finished 12th overall with a time of 25:59.6

Keller and the Black Bears return to action on Sept. 20, as they compete in the Maine State Meet.
