COLUMBIA, Missouri -- The University of Maine men's cross country program finished in 9th place at the Gans Creek Classic on Friday morning. Maine finished with 321 points.

Charlie Collins finished as Maine's top finisher with a time of 24:17.1 and finished in 35th place overall. Harry Greiner finished 2nd for Maine and 67th overall with a time of 24:34.3. Connor Daigle finished in 3rd for Maine and 76th overall with a time of 24:37.8.

The Black Bears battled through the heat and despite the heat, they performed very well.

Maine returns to action on Oct 10 at the New England Cross Country Championships.
