ORONO, Maine -- The University of Maine men's cross country program was named 14th in the most recent United States Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association poll for the Northeast Region, the USTFCCCA announced on Monday.

The Black Bears enter the week one poll after not being ranked in the original preseason poll.

Maine is coming off a 15-45 perfect score win over Army on August 29. This event saw the Black Bears finish with the top 5 scoring times, led by senior Connor Daigle who finished in 1st place with a time of 25:08.9.

The Black Bears are back in action on Saturday September 20, when they compete in the Maine State Meet.
