WEST POINT, N.Y.  – The University of Maine women's soccer team battled to a 2-2 tie on Sunday afternoon at Malek Stadium at Clinton Field.

After a scoreless first half, Army took a 1-0 lead in the 52nd minute.
Abbey Thornton then headed home a
Victoria Dungey shot in the 78th minute to get Maine on the board.
Emma Nicholson scored three minutes later to make it 2-1 Black Bears.

A foul in the final 10 seconds set Army up with a free kick just outside the box and Sabrina Rogers put home the loose ball for the 2-2 tie.

NOTES
- The teams were tied in shots at 14-14 and in corner kicks at 4-4.
- With the tie, Maine earns its first-ever result against Army … the Black Bears now 0-4-1 in the all-time series against Army.
- Today marked the first meeting between Army and Maine in 30 years.
- Grace Wilson finished with six saves for Maine.
- Abbey Thornton scored her first goal of the season.
- Emma Nicholson recorded her second goal of the year.
- Victoria Dungey recorded an assist on Thornton's goal for her second of the season.
- Meghan Bernetti and Rebecca Grisdale played the full 90 minutes for the Black Bears.
