OCALA, Fla. --
Kaden Kilger set a new school-record in the 1000-yard freestyle on day one of competition at the 2025 CSCAA National Invitational Championship.
Kilger set the mark in the 1000-yard freestyle time trial on Thursday morning, breaking the old mark with a new record time of 9:36.24.
Cam Watelet, competing in the B final of the 50-yard backstroke, placed 17th overall in the event with a final time of 22.61. Watelet also placed 26th in the 50-free at 20.55.

Joey Stauss took 19th in the 200-yard freestyle relay, touching the wall at 1:23.27.
Maine's 400-yard medley relay team made up of
Matthew Bendoraitis,
Nate Teerlinck,
Joey Stauss, and Devers placed 24th at 3:20.90.
Stauss missed out on qualifying for the 50-yard butterfly final by just .02 seconds as he came home 21st in the event with a time of 21.94.
Teerlinck touched the wall 35th in the 50-yard breaststroke with a time of 26.06.
