LEXINGTON, Va. -- The University of Maine men's swimming and diving team set three more school-records on the final day of the 2025 America East Championships. The Black Bears placed sixth with a score of 344 at the event.
Julian LaPietra had the performance of the day for the Black Bears, taking the bronze medal in the 100-yard freestyle with a record time of 44.53.
Matthew Bendoraitis was sixth in the 200-yard backstroke, setting a new school-record with a mark of 1:49.37.
Kaden Kilger added a 13th place showing in the 1650-yard freestyle, setting the 1000-free school-record (9:36.24) and a final time of 16:30.29 in the event.

Finn Devers, and LaPietra teamed up to break the school-record in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a fifth place time of 2:59.44.
