Women's Swimming and Diving

Hart, Hoover, Harkins lead women's swim & dive on day two

LEXINGTON, Va. -- The University of Maine women's swimming & diving team sits in fifth place with 144 points after two days of competition at the America East swimming & diving championships.

Kennady Hart led the Black Bears on day two, placing fifth in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 23.36. Hannah Deighan added a ninth place showing in the event at 23.54.

Nicki Harkins placed eighth in the 500-yard freestyle at 5:08.02 while Charlotte Hoover added an eighth place showing in the 200 IM with a final time of 2:07.48.

Maine's team of Hart, Liz Stoelzel, Mia Poirier, and Deighan placed fourth in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a mark of 1:33.51.
