LEXINGTON, Va. -- The University of Maine women's swimming & diving team sits in sixth place with 62 points after day one of the America East Championships.

Maine's team of Mia Poirier, Nicolene Harkins, Ainslie Boswell, and Alicia Littler posted the top finish of the evening for Maine, taking fifth in the 800-yard freestyle relay at 7:33.54.

Kennady Hart, Boswell, Charlie Hoover, and Hannah Deighan placed sixth in the 200-yard medley relay at 1:43.95.

Haylie Calver was the top finisher for the Black Bears in the 3-meter dive, placing 12th with a final score of 198.60.
