Washington, D.C. – The University of Maine basketball team was defeated by Siena in the final day of the tournament on Sunday, Nov. 30, 64-60.

After jumping out to an early 12-point lead, the Black Bears were able to erase the deficit slowly throughout the first half as they got it down to a two-point game with just under four minutes to go.

Siena concluded the first half on a 9-0 run to retake a double-digit lead at halftime at 36-25.

Ryan Mabrey had five points while
TJ Biel and
Keelan Steele both had four points at the break.

The Black Bears battled back from the double-digit deficit to get it to within four points with a little over six minutes to go in the contest.

Maine was able to get it to a one-point game with 25 seconds to go, but Siena held on for the victory as they connected on some free throws, 64-60.

Notes:
- Carey scored a career-high 17 points on 70% shooting and 2-for-2 from three-point range off the bench.
- Biel finished with 11 points and six rebounds.
- 10 different Black Bears scored on the afternoon.
- Maine forced 10 turnovers.
