ORONO, Maine -- Four University of Maine field hockey standouts earned five America East postseason honors, as announced by the league on Monday afternoon.
Zoe Furber and 
Olivia Geniti each earned a selection to the America East All-Conference First Team. 
Nicole Kowalewski was named to both the America East All-Conference Second Team and the America East All-Rookie Team while 
Taylor Katsube was honored to the America East All-Academic squad.
Furber finished the regular season with a team-high eight goals to go along with three assists for 19 points. Her eight goals tied for sixth-best among conference leaders while her 19 points were good for 12th in the league. In Maine's win over New Haven, Furber tied Maine's single-game record for both goals in a game (5) and points in a game (10).
Geniti captained the Black Bears and started all 17 regular season contests. She finished the year with six goals and a pair of assists for 14 points. Geniti tallied a multi-goal game with a pair against Big 10 opponent Indiana and added a multi-point game with a goal and an assist in Maine's convincing win over New Haven.
As a freshman, Kowalewski anchored Maine's back line by starting all 17 games in her first season. Kowalewski's scoring picked up late in the year when she registered a three-game goal scoring streak with goals in three of Maine's final six games. She concluded the season with three goals and two assists for eight points.
Katsube earned her way to the All-Academic team with a 3.97 grade point average in finance. On the field, Katsube started 15 games during the regular season while registering three goals, including two game-winners, to go along with one assist.
Following their 4-3 victory over UMass Lowell in quarterfinal action, the Black Bears travel to take on the No. 1 seed Vermont Catamounts in semifinal action on Tuesday at 1 p.m.
