Rousseau named Hockey East Stop It Goaltending Goaltender of the Week

Rousseau made 21 saves for his first career shutout in a win at Boston College.

AMESBURY, Mass. – University of Maine freshman Mathis Rousseau has been named the Hockey East Stop It Goaltending Goaltender of the Week, as announced on Monday by the league office.
 
The Boisbriand, Quebec native posted a 21-save shutout to lift Maine to a 3-0 win at #15 Boston College on Friday night. It was his first career shutout. Rousseau made 12 saves in the third period to give Maine its first shutout of the Eagles since March 4, 2004 and the first shutout road victory in the series since Jan. 10, 1998.
 
This marks the first career weekly honor for Rousseau.
