ORONO, Maine --
Joey Stauss posted two individual wins and a relay victory to lead the way on day two of Maine's season opening meet with New Brunswick on Sunday at Wallace Pool.
Stauss took first in both the 100-yard breaststroke (49.53) and the 100-yard IM (52.73).
Matthew Bendoraitis added a win in the 100-yard backstroke at 53.38 while
Jesse Lower took first place honors in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:00.16.
Julian Lapietra rounded out Maine's individual victors with a win in the 100-yard freestyle (47.74).
Bendoraitis,
Nate Teerlinck, Stauss, and Lapietra took first in the 200-yard medley relay with a combined mark of 1:35.26.
Noah Machristie and Lapietra teamed up with Mia Poirier and Amelia Obszarny to win the mixed 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:34.22.
Maine returns to action on Oct. 18 when it hosts Maine Martime Academy at 1 p.m.
