ORONO, Maine - The University of Maine women's ice hockey team (2-5-0, 0-0-0- HE) will begin conference play on Oct. 31/Nov. 1 against Providence College at Schneider Arena. Game times are set for 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM, respectively.

BLACK BEARS' LAST TIME OUT:
	- This past weekend was an off weekend for the Black Bears. 
- Most recently, Maine split with #8 Colgate, after earning their first upset of the year win a 2-1 win Saturday, Oct 18.
- On Friday, Oct 17, Maine lost 5-2.
- Kiia Lahtinen backstopped Maine both nights, making 75 saves on 80 shots faced. She earned Hockey East Goaltender of the Week for her performance. 
- Rookie Lulu Rucinski put up two points, including her first goal against Colgate to earn her Hockey East Defender of the Week.
- Lily Fetch scored the game-winner on Saturday, her fourth career game-winning goal and the 12th of her career.

	- Kiia Lahtinen is fourth the nation in saves with 260. Over the 260 shots faced, Lahtinen holds a .922 save %
- Maine is fourth in the nation on the Penalty Kill with a 95.5%.

PREVIOUS MATCHUPS WITH PROVIDENCE:

SCOUTING THE FRIARS:
	- Providence enters the weekend after splitting last weekend's series against No. 13/13 University of St. Thomas. On Friday, the Friars earned a 7-6 overtime victory behind senior Reichen Kirchmair's four goals, including the game-winner. Junior Audrey Knapp recorded four points on three assists and one goal. 
- In the rematch on Saturday, Oct. 25, Providence was defeated by the Tommies, 5-1. 
- Graduate student, goaltender Hope Walinski has started in all 8 games for the Friars.

LOOKING AHEAD:
