BRUNSWICK, Maine -- The University of Maine men's swimming & diving team earned a 178-146 victory at Bowdoin on Saturday afternoon. In the victory, Maine scored nine individual victories.
Cam Watelet led Maine with wins in the 50-yard backstroke (23.62) and the 50-yard freestyle (21.21) while placing second in the 100-yard butterfly at 50.34.
Joey Stauss added wins in the 100-yard butterfly (49.93) and the 200-yard IM (1:58.68) with a runner-up showing in the 50-yard butterfly (22.96).
Finn Devers took gold in the 400-yard IM (4:20.63) and
Brendan Matos scored a win in the 200-yard butterfly (1:59.25).
Kaden Kilger led the way in the distance event, placing first in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:50.48.
On the diving boards,
Jeremiah Small won the 1-meter with a score of 260.99 while
DJ Mulligan took first in the 3-meter at 263.93.
Watelet, Devers, Kilger, and
Julian LaPietra teamed up to take third in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a final time of 1:26.31.
