The University of Maine women's ice hockey announced the opening of their sale of game-worn, alternate plaid jerseys from the 2023-24 season. The jerseys, made possible by a generous donation from KeyBank, were worn twice last season by the Black Bears.
The jersey features a buffalo plaid design, with Maine's iconic Columbia blue prominently featured. The 'Maine Bear Head logo' is displayed on the front in the center of the jersey with Columbia blue and navy blue piping on the arms and waist.
A portion of the funds will go to the Maine Inferno, an ice hockey association for girls of all age classifications and skill levels in Maine.
"This is a great opportunity for our fans to get their hands on commemorative jerseys while supporting our program and local youth hockey for girls. Giving back and growing the game is something our program aspires to do, and we are again very thankful for KeyBank bringing these jerseys to life," said head coach Molly Engstrom.

Maine will face the University of New Hampshire in an exhibition game on Sunday, September 22 to kick off the season. The Black Bears will officially open the season against Quinnipiac University on Friday, September 27, and Saturday, September 28 at Alfond Arena.
Tickets for contests at Alfond Arena are available for purchase online (GoBlackBears.com/Tickets, via phone (207-581-BEAR) or in person at the Alfond Arena Ticket Office during business hours (M-F, 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.). Sales are online only during non-business hours.
