ORONO, Maine – The University of Maine women's soccer team will host UMass Lowell in the America East Championship semifinal round at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 7 at Mahaney Diamond.
 
Tickets are available online HERE, over the phone at 207-581-BEAR or in-person at the Alfond Arena ticket office during normal business hours. Tickets can also be purchased on Thursday night at the left field gate to Mahaney Diamond. 
 
The top-seeded Black Bears earned a first-round bye while the fourth-seeded River Hawks come to Orono after defeating Bryant, 2-1, in the quarterfinal round on Sunday. The winner will advance to the America East Championships title game, which will be held on Sunday, Nov. 10 at the highest remaining seed.

ABOUT MAINE
• Maine is 11-1-3 overall and went 7-0-1 in America East play to earn the first-ever regular season title and No. 1 seed in program history … Maine defeated New Hampshire, 1-0, in the final regular season game on Oct. 31 to clinch the title.
• Abby Kraemer (6-4-16) leads the team in points with Jordane Pinette (5-2-12), Kristina Kelly (3-5-11) and Lara Kirkby (4-2-10) also hitting double-digit points … Kraemer tied for the conference lead in goals (5) and game-winning goals (3) while tying for second in points (10)
• Earlier this season Maine became the only team in the conference with four players with at least 10 points each and the first America East team since 2019 to have five players with at least eight points each.
• Maine's seven conference wins are a program-best … the Black Bears 7-0-1 conference record and 22 points marked the best finish since Boston University went 8-0-0 for 24 points in 2012 … Maine earned the first regular season title and No. 1 seed in program history.
 
ABOUT UMASS LOWELL
• The River Hawks enter Thursday night at 6-9-3 overall and riding a six-game unbeaten streak … UMass Lowell topped Bryant, 2-1, to advance to its fourth semifinal in the last five seasons.
• UMass Lowell has scored at least two goals in five of the last six games and have not been shutout since Oct. 3 in the 1-0 loss to the Black Bears.
• Calliste Brookshire has a team-leading 14 points on four goals and six assists … the River Hawks have seven different multi-goal scorers.
• Goalkeeper Taylor Burgess is 6-8-2 with a 1.44 goals against average and .826 save percentage to go with five shutouts.

SERIES HISTORY vs UMASS LOWELL
• Maine is 8-4-1 in the all-time series with UMass Lowell.
• During the regular season, Maine earned a 1-0 win in Orono behind Abby Kraemer's second-half goal.
• Maine and UMass Lowell met in the 2023 America East Championship game, with the Black Bears fighting to a 3-2 win in overtime … Lara Kirkby scored twice, including the 105th minute winner, while Kayla Kraemer also found the back of the net.
• The Black Bears won the first-ever meeting back in 2013, 3-1.
