Men's Swimming and Diving

Watelet wins 50-yard Freestyle, as Day 2 wraps up

Kingston, RI - The University of Maine's men's swim team competed in day 2 of the University of Rhode Island Invite.

Halfway through the competition, Maine currently sits in fourth place with 258 points.

Calvin Comeau took home first place in his heat with a time of 4:48.83 and Jon Bird took home third place in his heat with a time of 4:51.38. Both of these results came in the Men's 500-yard freestyle.

Finn Devers took home 2nd place in his heat during the Men's 200-yard IM with a time of 1:54.96.

Cameron Watelet took home first place in the Men's 50-yard Freestyle with a time of 20.31. Max Ginsburg took home second place in his heat with a time of 21.80.

The relay group of Cameron Watelet, Max Ginsburg, Finn Devers and Julian Lapietra took home second in the Men's 200-yard Freestyle Relay with a time of 1:23.01.

Jeremiah Small rounded out the afternoon for Maine with a third place finish in the Men's 3-meter Diving with a score of 261.30.
