ORONO, Maine -- The University of Maine men's swim team registered nine victories on the final day of competition against New Brunswick on Sunday afternoon at Wallace Pool.
Noah Machristie led the Black Bears with a pair of individual victories as he took top honors in both the 200-yard IM (1:59.98) and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:13.03).
Other individual victories on day two were:
Nate Teerlinck - 50-yard breaststroke - 27.13
Calvin Comeau - 100-yard butterfly - 52.53
Cam Watelet - 50-yard backstroke - 23.56
Julian LaPietra - 100-yard freestyle - 47.60
Maine's team of
Finn Devers,
Kaden Kilger, LaPietra, and
Nick Scott took first in the 400-yard freestyle relay at 3:15.89 while Watelet, Teerlinck,
Joey Stauss, and
Max Ginsburg captured the top spot in the 200-yard medley relay at 1:34.91.
Maine's mixed 200-yard medley relay team of Madison Edwards, Isabelle Irani, Teerlinck, and Ginsburg took the top spot in the event at 1:45.36.
Maine returns to action on Friday, Oct. 18 when it plays host to Maine Maritime Academy at 5 p.m.
